Becoming a certified massage therapist is a dream come true. When I was young I would massage my mother’s tired, sore shoulders after her long days of working. Although, I had no idea what I was doing she always said they felt better afterward. I grew up and forgot about that, but after I was laid off I had time to reflect and think about what I could do that would make me happy. This is when massage therapy became an option for me. I thoroughly enjoy helping my clients feel their best and recover from muscle pain and stress they are experiencing.

I attended American Institute of Massage and graduated May 2009. I passed the NCBTMB and received my certification from the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Health Professions in August 2009. I started working on my own and opened Total Peace Massage, LLC in March 2010. Unfortunately, shortly after that opening I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast Cancer. I was unable to work during my many months of treatments, so I closed that location. Once I was able to return to work, I went to work for someone else. I gained a great deal of knowledge for running a massage business and realized how much I truly love giving therapeutic massage that help people relieve their pain, stress and just feel better. The best part of my job is seeing my clients face after their massage.

I am very blessed to have the opportunity to start Total Peace Massage, LLC (TPM) once again at 2505 Pocoshock Place, Suite 203, North Chesterfield, VA 23235. A quite county setting that offers a private parking lot with plenty of parking spaces.

I enjoy reading and studying the new advances in massage and I have continued my education by receiving certification in the following courses:

Reflexology

Pregnancy Massage

Easing the Pain of Fibromyalgia with Massage

Aromatherapy I & II

Awakening Intuition & the Touch sense

Indian Head, Face and Foot Massage

Orthopedic Massage Techniques for Cervical Pain,

CPR, AED, and Basic First Aid
